Purpose
This Documented Compliance Procedure outlines the professional, legal, and ethical obligations of all healthcare practitioners operating as independent contractors on the KenEi Health platform. It is intended to ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and service quality in line with applicable Nigerian laws, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA).
Scope
This procedure applies to all licensed doctors and nurses providing telemedicine consultations, home care services, and other healthcare functions via the KenEi Health mobile and web platforms.
Credential Verification
All professionals must undergo mandatory credential verification before being onboarded. This includes license verification with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) or the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Expired, suspended, or fraudulent credentials will result in automatic disqualification and reporting.
Professional Conduct
All practitioners shall conduct themselves in accordance with Nigerian medical ethics and regulations. This includes maintaining respectful communication, providing evidence-based care, and adhering to the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity. Practitioners must not misrepresent qualifications, outcomes, or services.
Data Protection and Confidentiality
Practitioners must comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and internal KenEi Health data protocols. All patient records accessed or generated through the platform must be treated as strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of care delivery. Unauthorized disclosure or misuse will lead to immediate suspension and potential legal action.
Platform Usage and Documentation
All consultations must be conducted using the KenEi Health platform’s official channels (video, voice, chat). Each interaction must be properly documented in the patient’s electronic medical record. Failure to document encounters appropriately may lead to suspension.
Complaint and Disciplinary Process
KenEi Health operates a formal complaint-handling process. Breaches of professional standards will be reviewed by a compliance panel. Sanctions may include warnings, suspension, platform delisting, and referral to MDCN/NMCN or other relevant authorities depending on the nature of the infraction.
Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited - Sharing personal contact details with patients for off-platform consultations - Prescribing medication without full patient evaluation - Engaging in any form of harassment or inappropriate behavior - Soliciting bribes, gifts, or unauthorised payment - Use of third-party platforms for patient care related to KenEi Health
